Short Description   The second-generation Collaborative Seismic Earth Model (CSEM2) is a global, multi-scale Earth model developed using full-waveform inversion. The term ‘multi-scale’ reflects the varying sizes of the inversion domains. CSEM2 integrates information from both global and regional inversions into a unified framework. This file contains the global-scale CSEM2, while higher-resolution regional models are available in this repository. For user-specific domains and spatial resolution, please contact the author. This submodel has been extracted from the variable-parameterisation CSEM onto a regular grid, readable by EMC tools

Model Download CSEM2-Globe.v2024.12.01.r0.0.nc (see metadata) is the model in netCDF 3 Classic format.

Depth Coverage 0 to 2800 km

Area Global, latitude: -89.0°/89.0° @1.0°, longitude: -180.0°/180.0° @1°

Data Set Description Since CSEM2 is a model built on many submodels that have been separately published. Therefore, the data set is complex. For details, please see Noe et al. (2024).
