Quicklinks
Description
Name | MITPS_20 |
Title | Vp, Vs, and Vp/Vs Ratio variations in the North American lithosphere from body wave travel times and surface wave dispersion |
Type | 3-D Tomography Earth Model |
Sub Type | Vp, Vs, and Vp/Vs ratio perturbations in % |
Year | 2020 |
Data Revision | r0.0 (revision history) |
Short Description | Arrival times of teleseismic P, S, and Pn body waves were jointly inverted alongside Rayleigh wave phase velocities at periods of 5-290 s for variations in Vp and Vs. These variations were used to calculate Vp/Vs ratio perturbations. |

Reference Model | Modified AK135 (netCDF file available below). Incorporates a monotonic Vp and Vs increase in crust, and Vp has been adjusted to provide a realistic Vp/Vs. |
