The DMC has release a new version of our ws-station service. The changes include an update to the StationXML schema, for some users this change is not backwards compatible (more details below). Other changes include new time range selection parameters.
http://www.iris.edu/ws/station/
Please visit the revision page (http://www.iris.edu/ws/doc/station_revisions.htm) for a complete list of changes since version 1.2.7.
This update does not effect users of the DMC's FetchBulkData script. The FetchMetadata script will continue to work but the station site name will be missing from the "station level" output, an update is available to address this (http://www.iris.edu/ws/wsclients/).
regards,
Web services team
Schema changes:
- Site name information was moved from the <Country> element to a <Name> element
- The swap_order attribute was removed from the <StationEpoch> tag
- The stage 0 response structure is removed, functional replacement is the InstrumentSensitivity structure
- New elements describe the transfer function type for poles and zeros and coefficient lists
- Replaced <GainUnits> with <SensitivityUnits> inside of the <StageSensitivity> structure
Additionally, a number of existing StationXML structures are now populated by the service.
Please visit http://www.iris.edu/ws/doc/station_revisions.htm for a complete list of changes.
