Here's a question that comes up from time to time:
"I've started running AmaSeis on a different computer but do not
want to loose the data that was recorded in the past. What can be done?"

The AmaSeis data are stored in files that are each one hour long, with names
like 00.Z, 01.Z, 02.Z, ...... 23.Z

Each set of 24 files resides in a folder named for the date, so the events
in a folder named 29 would be for the 29th of the month. Day folder
names are 01, 02, 03, ... 30 (or 29 or 31).

Each set of day folders is located within a month folder. Month folder names
may be 01, 02, 03, .... 11, 12.

Each set of month folders is located within a year folder. For example, the
current year folder is c:\amaseis\2007

So, if you copy all of the folders, subfolders, and files from the 2007
folder on the old computer to the 2007 folder on the new computer, all of
that data will be available to AmaSeis on the new computer.

Hope that helps!

Cheers,
John
