Dear SSA Member,

As you know, membership in the Seismological Society of America is
important. SSA is an international scientific membership society,
composed of individuals and institutions that believe in SSA’s purpose –
/the advancement of seismology and the understanding of earthquakes for
the benefit of society./ Student members are a central part of SSA
membership, and we are calling on you to help keep it that way.

If you are a student, professor, or otherwise involved in a class,
research, or discussion group with non-member students passionate about
seismology - please help SSA recruit the next generation of
seismologists and geoscientists by giving the attached membership
discount to anyone who you feel would benefit from membership in SSA.

SSA looks to student members for the future of seismological research
and the Society, but we need your help to reach them. Student SSA
membership includes: low cost membership dues, full electronic access to
both SSA journals (/BSSA/ and /SRL/), discounted registration to SSA
Annual Meetings, and eligibility to receive Student travel grants and
Student presentation awards. Not to mention, SSA student members have
many unique opportunities for professional development and for creating
essential networks of support that will be vital throughout their careers.

Thank you for your support and help in informing students of the
benefits of SSA membership!

Please contact me directly with any questions and thanks again for your
advocacy.

Regards,

Katie Kadas
