Early Career Scientist/Student Opportunity
~ Invitation to submit letters of interest for cruise participation ~

Early to mid-career scientists, postdocs, and graduate students are
encouraged to apply to participate in a unique seagoing expedition
with the new human-occupied vehicle (HOV) /Alvin/. Those selected
will A) work with more experienced scientists to assess the
capabilities of the new HOV /Alvin/, B) learn how to design and
conduct effective deep-sea research programs and develop competitive
proposals, and C) collaborate with seagoing and shoreside scientists
to disseminate the results of the assessment and to engage other
early career scientists in deep sea research.
