The USGS National Earthquake Information Center is seeking to fill two duty seismologist positions in Golden, CO.

As a Duty Seismologist within the National Earthquake Information Center, some of your specific duties would include:

Disseminating earthquake information to government and disaster relief agencies, the media, and the general public.

Locating and computing magnitudes, moment tensors, and other parameters for significant earthquakes around the world.

Evaluating earthquake locations, magnitudes and other source parameters for accuracy and reliability

Interpreting seismograms for phase arrival identification, onset time, and amplitude.
