Montana Tech's Geophysical Engineering Department invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position. The position will be at the assistant professor level. Candidates with a background in applied geophysics are requested to apply. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in electrical and/or electromagnetic methods and industry experience. Candidates with a background and interest in petrophysics are encouraged to apply also. All candidates must be willing to teach electrical and electromagnetic methods. A Ph.D. in geophysics or related field is required. Candidates should demonstrate potential for developing an active research program along with the potential for excellence in teaching. Excellent communication skills are required. Candidates with a PE or EIT license are preferred. The starting date will be August 2015. Duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in geophysical engineering and introductory undergraduate physics c!
ourses, advising BS and MS students in geophysical engineering, developing an active externally funded research program, supervising research projects at the undergraduate and graduate level, and providing service to the campus and community.
