There is still time to apply for an exciting 2016-2017 U.S. Core Fulbright U.S.Scholar Program award in arctic affairs!�Opportunities are available for teaching and/or research in nearly every discipline, from engineering to political science, anthropology, communications and more!

Iceland: Fulbright-National Science Foundation Arctic Research Grants http://www.cies2.org/redirect.aspx?linkID=10363&eid=245771
Conduct research with any university, research organization or other appropriate partner in Iceland in the social or natural sciences field as they relate to the Arctic and the people living there. Specializations include anthropology, governance, health, political science and sustainability science.

Iceland: Fulbright-Ministry of Foreign Affairs Arctic Scholar http://www.cies2.org/redirect.aspx?linkID=10361&eid=245771
Teach or teach and conduct research at the University of Iceland Centre for Arctic Policy in Akureyri. The grant is open to scholars in a wide variety of arctic fields including international relations, international law, security, gender studies and environmental change. As the grant is funded by the Icelandic Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the scholar will have access to Ministry officials.

Norway: Fulbright Arctic Chair http://www.cies2.org/redirect.aspx?linkID=10360&eid=245771
For scholars with five to 10 years of research experience, this award in Norway offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate with any institution in Norway on a teaching and research project. The Chair will research and teach within the areas of polar and arctic sciences and is expected to give public lectures, lead seminars and supervise/mentor Master's and PhD candidates.

Affiliate with any institution of higher education or research in Sweden. Applications are sought in all appropriate disciplines with preference for proposals on areas related to the�Arctic region.�

Teach, conduct research or propose a combination of both in any area, including on issues affecting the Arctic region. Scholars are encouraged to affiliate beyond Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Canada: Fulbright Postdoctoral Scholar Award in Northern Issues http://www.cies2.org/redirect.aspx?linkID=10356&eid=245771Conduct research at the University of Northern British Columbia, Prince George, British Columbia in any area that reflects the strategic priorities of UNBC. Applications are sought in all appropriate specializations, with preference for proposals focused on natural resources and environmental studies, community development, rural, northern and environmental health, and first nations and indigenous studies.
