The NSF-sponsored Ocean Bottom Seismograph Instrument Pool would like to
invite all ocean bottom seismometer operators, developers, users, and
interested parties to attend a Town Hall on “International Ocean Bottom
Seismometer Experiments and Data” at the 2016 AGU Fall Meeting. This
town hall will bring together operators and researchers from around the
globe to exchange ideas on data acquisition and management, discuss
recent or planned experiments and open data sets, and further develop
international collaborations in the OBS community. Attendance is open to
all registered AGU Fall Meeting attendees, and a computer and projector
will be available if you would like to share several slides. We would
especially encourage all institutions that operate OBS instruments to
provide a brief overview of your current or futureinstruments, recent or
planneddeployment activities, and data management procedures.

We will be hearing from:

Vala Hjörleifsdóttir - Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Mexico

Lukas Joeressen - K.U.M. Umwelt- und Meerestechnik Kiel GmbH, Germany

Frauke Klingelhoefer - Ifremer, France

Yann Hello - Géoazur, France

Guust Nolet - Géoazur, France

Yoshihiro Ito - Kyoto University, Japan

Ching-Ren Lin - Academia Sinica, Taiwan

...and more speakers will be added as we continue to develop the agenda.

Please contact Kasey Aderhold at kasey<at>iris.edu <kasey<at>iris.edu>
if you would like to provide slides to present at the meeting or if you
have any questions. Feel free to distribute this invitation to others
who may be interested in attending.
