A postdoctoral and PhD student positions in earthquake seismology are available at the ConocoPhillips School of Geology and Geophysics at the University of Oklahoma. Research topics will be focused on earthquake source processes, and fault zone properties. The successful candidates will join a growing community on earthquake processes and seismology at the University of Oklahoma. The postdoc position is for a full-time 1-year duration, renewable for a second year pending progress and funding. Opportunities for teaching, mentoring can be made available for those interested in academic career.

The deadline for fall 2017 entry with funding is January 10th 2017. To be eligible for PhD position, the students are required to complete a MS degree by fall 2017. For postdoctoral position, the start date is flexible, and could start as early as January 2017. Completion of PhD degree is required at the time of appointments.
