Postdoctoral Researcher - Ecole normale superieure, Paris, France

The Department of Geosciences of the Ecole normale superieure (Paris,
France) is seeking a postdoctoral researcher in the field of crustal
deformation. The project aims at improving our understanding of
active deformation and large earthquakes within plate interiors,
with a focus on Western Europe. The position is for 18 month with
funding through ANDRA (French National Radioactive Waste Management
Agency, a public undertaking placed under the supervision of the
ministries responsible for energy, the environment, and research).

A Ph.D. in Geophysics and experience with the analysis of geodetic
deformation measurements, and/or earthquake seismology are required.
The successful candidate will be expected to perform data analyses
and modeling using high-performance computing, and publish scientific
results in top refereed journals.

Review of materials will begin immediately until the closing date
of March 31, 2017. To apply, send a cover letter explaining your
motivation for the position, a CV, and the names of three references
(for letters of recommendation) to eric.calais<at>ens.fr <eric.calais<at>ens.fr>.

The Ecole normale superieure is a research and higher education
public institution located in the heart of Paris, offering an
exceptional scientific and intellectual environment (http://www.ens.fr http://www.ens.fr/).
The candidate will work within the Department of Geosciences and
the "Geology Laboratory" CNRS research unit.
