IRIS is pleased to announce the formal release of LASSO (Latest Assessment of Seismic Station Observations). LASSO has been developed by Instrumental Software Technologies Inc. in conjunction with IRIS Instrumentation Services as a client to load, display, sort, rank, and export the measurements of quality produced by MUSTANG. It runs in-browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.), presenting the option to query preset metric groupings or develop more customized requests. MUSTANG metrics are typically available within days for eligible archived channels, making LASSO an ideal tool for actionable data quality assessment of seismic network data archived with the IRIS DMC.
LASSO is accessible at lasso.iris.edu. There, users may also consult a user guide and tutorial and view additional documentation related to MUSTANG metrics. Feedback on LASSO, either in the form of error reports or suggested future developments, should be sent to mustang-lasso<at>lists.ds.iris.edu.
