1. As during each of the past several years, the AFRL Nuclear Explosion Monitoring Research Program is making a formal Request for Information, which is described in the attached document. We are interested in your ideas on scientific solutions to the monitoring challenges we face, and we welcome your inputs.

2. Formal requests for clarification must be received no later than 5 April 2017. You can contact us with any questions, and we will be available on-site during the Seismological Society of America meeting in Denver, CO.

3. Formal responses must be submitted to the AFRL contracting office no later than 20 April. Responses can be sent via mail, email, or AMRDEC. (AMRDEC is a secure US Army site similar to Dropbox. To use AMRDEC, https://safe.amrdec.army.mil/SAFE/, upload your response document and enter the AFRL contracting office email address in the notification field.)

4. You can find this RFI on the Web by going to: https://www.fbo.gov/index?s=opportunity&mode=list&tab=list then under the "Opportunities" tab, in the field "Keyword/Solicitation" entering either "BAA-RVKV-2014-0001" or "RFI-AFRL-RVBY-FY18-01-NEM".

Thank you,
Ray Willemann, Eli Baker, and Rick Schult
