The utility program saclst, which comes with the more recent distributions
of sac, allows one to print all or selected header values to the screen or
to a file. One des not need to open sac.

Usage: saclst header_lists f file_lists
ex. saclst delta npts kstnm f sacfile1 sacfile2
saclst help - outputs a list of possible values
