Hello Sac Users,

I want to multiply or divide a set of data points in a sac file with a
constant. Please suggest me how to do this?

Thank you very much.

      Dear Milton,

Thanks for your reply. Lets suppose we have 100 sample points in our
waveform sac file and I want to multiply (lets say by four) data points
only from 20 to 40. That means I don't want to multiply the whole dataset
but a portion of dataset. Then how can I do it?

      Please reply.

        For this you can do:

        sac> cut 20 40
        sac> r file_100
        sac> w file_20_40
        sac> r file_20_40
        sac> mul 4

In this way you generate a new file with samples from 20 to 40 and
        then multiply it. by 4.

Sac multiply all sample in memory.

        Cheers,

        m.
