I have data downloaded from IRIS consists of different bands of frequency like BH, LH, HH, HN, VH and UH and in order to apply high pass filter I need to know the range of frequencies present data, to set the Butterworth corner frequency.

One way is to see the instrument response.
If you are using data from IRIS
e.g.
http://ds.iris.edu/mda/II/PALK?timewindow=2000-2599
go the respective channel and in the bottom, you see the freq. response.
