Hi Everyone,
We received a lot of interest in this course and are planning to run it in at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, D.C., on 6 - 8 December 2018, Thursday - Saturday. This will allow for a short break on Sunday just before AGU. Our full ad may be found here: http://www.isti.com/services/training/earthworm/2018-fall-ew-intensive/.
We ask that interested students -- and any colleagues who wish to join -- please *register by 1 November* via our contact form on isti.com: http://www.isti.com/contact/contact-us/.
We’ll cover:
+ Earthworm refresher: A quick lesson on the EW basics in case people have forgotten how the core architecture works and the basic commands
+ Advanced topics like magnitudes and ground motion values
+ New tricks e.g. Python, SeisNetWatch
+ Earthquake location
+ Running NonLinLoc and Hypoinverse with Earthworm
+ Tuning of participants’ binder and locations
This course will be for folks who have a basic Earthworm knowledge or want to learn quickly how to lash up a system. Everyone will go home with a working EW system or a better tuned one if you already have a system running at your network.
If pre-AGU timing doesn't work for you, ISTI will be holding our popular annual 5-day course in lovely Saratoga Springs, NY in June of 2019. An example of that annual 5-day spring course may be found here: http://www.isti.com/services/training/earthworm/2018-spring-ew-course/. Interested? Please let us know.
For pricing inquiries, please note your course of interest. Again, if you plan to join the ISTI EW 3-day Intensive before AGU, please *register by 1 November* via our contact form on isti.com: http://www.isti.com/contact/contact-us/. Thank you in advance for your confirmation of attendance.
Kind regards,
The ISTI Team
