The Geophysics Group at Los Alamos National Laboratory has an immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Research Associate with strong skills in earthquake data analysis. The successful candidate will apply signal processing techniques including machine learning methods to seismic dataset for characterization of fault systems and evaluation of seismic risk. The term of the appointment is two years, with a possible extension to a third year depending on the performance and funding availability.
Job Requirements:
* A Ph.D. in Geophysics, Applied Mathematics, Computational Sciences, Computer Sciences, or a related field, obtained within the past 5 years or soon to be obtained.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team, with good communication skills.
* Proficiency in one or more programming languages
