Post-doctoral position in seismology, University of Wisconsin-Madison

A research position in seismology is available in the Department of Geoscience at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, beginning in summer 2019. The position is a full-time, 1-year appointment, with the opportunity of continuation for a second year, as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate. The successful applicant will participate in two projects involving seismic velocity and attenuation tomography, one at a volcanic center in Chile and the other in the region of the Kaikoura earthquake in New Zealand. The expected starting salary is in the range $50,000 to $52,000, depending on qualifications and experience. The position is most appropriate for candidates not more than 2 years past the Ph.D. Completion of all Ph.D. requirements is necessary at the time of appointment.
