Save the Date and Call for Abstracts!

This symposium, organized by the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute and Alaska Earthquake Center, focuses on the 2018 M7.1 Anchorage Earthquake and its consequences, will highlight the research that has already occurred in the past year and stimulate new investigations and collaborations to make the most of this learning opportunity.

When: September 24-26, 2019, with an optional field trip on Sep. 26
Where: Hotel Captain Cook, Anchorage, Alaska

Proposal abstracts for presentations are welcome in the following topic areas:
Tectonics, Aftershocks, and Future Hazards
Ground Motions: Observed and Predicted
Geotechnical Engineering
Structural Engineering
Building Operations/Recovery
Emergency Management and Response
Recovery
Public Health and Social Impacts
Lifelines and Utilities

The deadline for poster abstract submissions is 8/18/19. Abstract submissions are limited to 250 words or less. Selected poster presenters will be notified in late August 2019. Poster presenters will also have the opportunity to make a short lightning presentation before the poster session. The symposium poster session will take place on September 24, 2019.
