Dear Sir
hope you will be fine and with good health. Understand you are a busy researcher.
There is an earthquake of Mw 6.4. The station close to the epicenter QUET has recorded this event. I want to calculate PGA from above attached sac waveform file. I applied sac transfer command to obtain acceleration for the event as below:
SAC> r ./20081028_2230_QUEZ2.sac
SAC> p
SAC> rmean
SAC> rtrend
SAC> p1
SAC> transfer from polezero s ./SAC_PZs_PK_QUET_HHZ_00_2005.001.00.00.00.0000_99999.9999.24.60.60.99999 to acc
SAC> lh
FILE: ./20081028_2230_QUEZ2.sac - 1
-------------------------------
NPTS = 60000
B = 0.000000e+00
E = 5.999900e+02
IFTYPE = TIME SERIES FILE
LEVEN = TRUE
DELTA = 1.000000e-02
IDEP = ACCELERATION (NM/SEC/SEC)
I got output in ACC units (NM/Sec/Sec). Can you help me how to obtain acceleration in m/sec/sec units.
But in actual the PGA for this event is seems not so high as above figure plotted..
The PGA value for this event is ~0.3g. c
Regards
Nasir from Pakistan.
