Dear All,
I would like to calculate the noise spectrum of seismic waveform (waveform length of 5 s : 2.5 s pre- and post- of P-phase). I tried it in sac, however, I did not get it. Kindly suggest me the procedure for calculating the noise spectrum.
thanking you

Hi,
If you want the noise spectrum relative to the P phase, your noise window
should terminate before the P wave arrival time. If you define your noise
window accurately, computing the noise spectrum with the FFT function
should be straightforward.
