*Description: *
The SZ4D (Subduction Zones in Four Dimensions) effort is a
research-community driven initiative in the U.S. to investigate the
processes that underlie subduction zone hazards. An NSF-funded planning
group is now working to map out a potential decadal-scale program in
integrated science of subduction and seeks wide community input. Within
SZ4D, three Working Groups have been convened so far to address major
areas of interest:
- Faulting and Earthquake Cycles
- Magmatic Drivers of Eruption
- Landscapes and Seascapes: Surface Processes and Subduction
Please join us for a one-hour informational webinar to learn what the
developing research initiative is all about and how the planning process
is proceeding, how the community is being engaged, and what the
timelines are for SZ4D planning.
See the websitesz4d.org http://sz4d.org/for more information and how
to become involved.
There will be an opportunity for live questions during the webinar. If
you like, you may also pre-submit a question for the webinar using this
form, and we will try to address them during the session:
