Thread: Naming Contest Reminder!

Dear geoscience community,

A reminder that our naming contest is open for another two weeks. See below!

IRIS and UNAVCO are working towards merging to become a new entity. What
should this new, combined non-profit be named? We need your suggestions!
Provide us with your best, most inspired names and taglines. The strongest
candidates will be shared with the UNAVCO and IRIS staff, who will vote for
their favorites. The top 3 choices will be sent to the Boards of Directors
for both organizations to select the winner. The person who submits the
winning entry will receive a joint goodie bag from IRIS and UNAVCO, and a
$150 gift certificate. (Any mentions of UNAVRIS, IRAVCO, or Shaky
McShakeface will receive demerits ;).

Deadline for submissions is July 15, 11:59 PDT.

Winners will be announced in August.
