The New Mexico State University Department of Physics, in Las Cruces NM, seeks geophysics graduate students with broad backgrounds in computation and physics. The student will be working on a NSF sponsored seismological experiment in Myanmar to understand the Burmese subduction zone. We also have opportunities for students interested in deep mantle and core structure under another NSF supported project. We are looking for students at both the Master's and PhD levels. Students are supported through both teaching and research assistantships. The geophysics program at NMSU is part of the physics department.
