Thread: Rapid Response Special Interest Group at GAGE/SAGE Workshop

Dear Colleagues,

IRIS is planning to host a special interest group meeting on Thursday, August 19th (2-4pm ET) at the upcoming virtual GAGE/SAGE workshop to provide an update on the ongoing Rapid Response to Geohazards initiative. This project will be procuring a new set of dedicated rapid response instrumentation for community use beginning in 2023.

During the meeting, we plan to provide an update on the progress of the rapid response effort, including:
• Review of project timeline
• Current instrumentation recommendations
• Latest guidance/oversight from the PASSCAL Standing Committee
• Instrument testing/evaluation progress
• Upcoming milestones

We encourage community members with an interest in geohazards and rapid response deployments to attend the SIG, which will also include time for Q&A with IRIS staff.
