Abstract submissions for Seismic Tomography: What Comes Next?https://www.seismosoc.org/tomography/ are now open. This new SSA meeting aims to be a forum for tomography experts and adjacent researchers to present recent findings and evaluate techniques and models.
The co-chairs encourage attendees to come with ambitious and even “wild ideas” for advancing tomography’s reach in the geosciences. Topics could include time-dependent tomography; studies spanning the scales from near-surface imaging to structures tens to thousands of kilometers below the surface; computationally demanding but data-rich full waveform tomography; and joint inversion techniques that include non-seismic data in their models; gaps in geographic coverage, development of new instruments, and ways to improve computational bottlenecks.

The deadline for abstract submissions is 31 May 2022.
The meeting program will be announced in July 2022. The registration process is largely tied to submission and acceptance of abstracts. Non-presenters interested in attending may apply to attend through a registration application submitted to and approved by the co-chairs in June/July 2022.
