Dear Developers,I'm willing to create New Headers for a waveform in sac format, My Headers are like Mw, Mb, Ms, (other than MAG), and some strings or integers. Is there any manual to do so? I could not find anything in sac help or the SAC book or sac learning by zhigang Peng!!I was just able to find that it has to be related to setbb command but I completely have no idea about the procedure. I hope you can give me full explanation.Regards________________________

Nima,
If I understand what you want to do correctly, you can use any of the ten user fields USER0 to USER9 for any purpose of your choosing, such as additional magnitude measures. It is not advisable to try to introduce a completely new variable into the SAC header, as you will lose compatibility. See
http://www.adc1.iris.edu/files/sac-manual/manual/file_format.html
Good luck.

Hi Nima,
My understanding is that you can't rename sac headers but you can store
user-specific new variables in USER{n} (n = 0,9) headers. See
http://www.adc1.iris.edu/files/sac-manual/manual/file_format.html
