The Seismology Department of the Earth Sciences Division of CICESE is seeking to fill two tenure-track researcher positions. The Seismology Department is currently formed by 14 researchers and operates a large seismic and geodetic network in Northwestern Mexico.

Candidates will enhance and compliment any of the Department of Seismology’s areas of research including:

• Strong-motion seismology
• Seismicity and geodesy in volcanoes
• Seismotectonics
• Seismic hazard and risk
• Seismology applied to engineering
• Rock physics
• Seismologic and geodesic networks and monitoring

Experience in the managing of large data bases and/or AI techniques applicable to seismology are desirable.

Candidates must have the ability and willingness to advice students at the master and doctoral levels, as well as to teach graduate courses in the areas mentioned above.
