Good morning / afternoon / evening!

I hope this email finds you well. This is just a very quick message to promote a DAS-focused PhD opportunity at the University of Leeds, as part of our NERC PANORAMA Doctoral Training Programme.

The proposed project uses DAS to look at landslide initiation, in partnership with the British Geological Survey (BGS) and industrial partners RSK Geophysics. The student will have access to Leeds' own interrogators, and can access existing data from BGS's Hollin Hill test site and consider instrumenting other vulnerable infrastructure. All details of the project are here: https://panorama-dtp.ac.uk/research/landslides-and-lasers-fibre-optic-distributed-sensing-of-landslide-initiation/

The closing date for applications is 4th January, so do let any contacts know that they've got about a month to get an application in!

Thanks in advance for spreading the word,

Best regards,
Adam
