Active Message Threads for July 2020
Dear Colleagues,
Please join us at this year's GSA 2020 Connects Online annual meeting and consider contributing to the topical session "Three-Dimensional Geological Mapping to Support Societal Development". Contributions are welcome on 3D modelling methodology, standards, and case studies from offshore and onshore practitioners. A description and rationale for the session appear below. Note that abstracts are due August 4th.
We look forward to seeing you at the meeting.

Dear All,
Please consider submitting an abstract for the GSA (Online) Annual Meeting, session T93: Lithospheric Structure and Evolution of Cratons.
Session description: We explore the geophysical structure of the cratonic lithosphere, with particular emphasis on the differences between 'intact' cratons and those whose keels have experienced significant tectonic modification. Studies of Laurentia and cratons worldwide are welcomed.
Conveners: Fiona Darbyshire (Université du Québec à Montréal)…

Dear All,
Please consider submitting an abstract for the GSA (Online) Annual Meeting, session T92: Structure and Dynamics of the Appalachian Orogen.
Session description: Explore the along-strike variability and evolution of the Appalachian orogen through tectonics, geological/geophysical structure and regional geodynamics. Contributions from all disciplines are welcomed, and those linking surface tectonics to deep structure are particularly encouraged.
Conveners: Fiona Darbyshire (Université…
