A virtual workshop dedicated to SPECFEM open-source software for seismic wave propagation and seismic imaging will be offered on October 5, 6, and 7. The workshop will provide a Docker software container that will be downloaded by participants, allowing them to run the examples on their own computers, via Jupyter notebooks and Python. Dear IRIS Community,
It is with heavy hearts that we report that our friend, colleague, and IRIS
Board of Directors member Phil Wannamaker passed away on August 22, 2022 of
a heart attack. Phil was a tremendously valued member of our community and
of the IRIS Board, and his unique engagement, wisdom, and expertise will be
sorely missed by us all.
