We are sending you a screenshot of our 2017-09-19 early prediction of
an imminent earthquake that we suggested might strike southern Mexico
(Guatemala or Honduras) by the passing of Hurricane Maria along the
northeastern boundary of the Caribbean plate (our prediction was sent
to several social media the morning of Tuesday the 19th and can be
certified).
In the same way that we proposed that there seem to have solid
cause-effect relationships between hurricane Irma and the 2017-09…

*Comparing geophone and BB seismometer records for M7.1 Central Mexico: *BB
seismometer recordings compared to 2 Hz geophones with extended response in
Oklahoma. Six records showing time series and amplitude spectra for 3
components are compared.

Dear colleagues,
In response to interest in the September 19, 2017 M7.1 Central Mexico (5km ENE of Raboso, Mexico) earthquake, the IRIS DMC has created a Special Event web page that provides direct links to and images of data and materials available from IRIS programs and preliminary research results from the seismology community.
We welcome any additional contributions that might be of interest to the research community, which can be emailed to special-events@lists.ds.iris.edu <mailto:specia…

Hello,
I am an Assistant Professor of Structural Geology with University of
Brunei Darussalam.
Please consider my contribution for a possible publication on your page.
I have interpreted the recent earthquake event based on its fault plane
solution and the regional tectonics. The figure is attached below.
Thank you,
Regards

Attached is a Raspberryshake plot of the recording from my basement corrected to a BB 0.01-2 Hz seismogram.
Not bad for a 4.5 Hz geophone. It was an M8 after all.

Hello Manochehr,
I am sending along a comparison plot of the six most recent and largest
North Korea tests, with amplitudes both normalized and not normalized. It
includes maps to show the locations of the tests and the test site relative
to the seismic station. I'm sure there are a lot of these figures floating
around out there so no need to post if it is redundant.
Thank you for putting together the special event page.
Cheers,
Kasey Aderhold
