Hello web services users, We are pleased to announce that the IRIS DMC has implemented the International Federation of Digital Seismograph Networks (FDSN) versions of our core web services that support access to time series data, related metadata and event parameters. The equivalent DMC services are now deprecated and will be retired, read more on that below. The FDSN service specification defines an internationally recognized, standard interface. Hello WS users, The DMC has updated the fdsn-station service to version 1.0.5. In this minor revision we fixed a bug related to query parameters limited to channels when level=station. This release should be backwards compatible with all request tools. regards, IRIS DMC web services team

Hello WS users, The DMC has released a new version (2.0.2) of the IRIS WS library: http://www.iris.edu/dms/nodes/dmc/software/downloads/iris-ws/2-0-2/ The release now defaults to using IRIS services from the service.iris.edu host instead of the deprecated locations. We also took the opportunity to rework how the XML is parsed and introduced some new features and fixed a few bugs; please refer to the revision page for a list of all bug fixes: http://www.iris.edu/dms/nodes/dmc/software/downl… [more]

Hello WS users, The DMC has updated the fdsnws-event service to version 1.0.5: http://service.iris.edu/fdsnws/event/1/ In this minor revision we include the schema location for QuakeML by adding schemaLocation="http://quakeml.org/schema/xsd http://quakeml.org/schema/xsd/QuakeML-1.2.xsd" to XML documents generated by the service. In addition to documenting the schema for a given XML document, this allows downstream software to validate the XML without manually fetching the schema documents. … [more]
