A forward to IRIS Web Service users regarding a pause in real-time data in about an hour.
You should continue to be able to get recent data through web services, but the real-time feeds will be delayed until the system resumes operation.

Dear Data Services Users-
Following up on our migration from the historical IRIS/FDSN metadata infrastructure to a StationXML 1.1 compliant service stack this week, we want to provide a recap of what has occurred since the past couple of days to let you know where things stand:
* The station service is running smoothly and follows a few new rules of output, such as omitting ending times for presently operational station/channel epochs.
* Despite extensive testing, we discovered a few…

Re: Station Metadata Services Update - Philip Crotwell - 2020-02-20 11:50:22
Hi all,
I still don't get data for recent time windows. For example, the
following request for a recent earthquake today: South Sandwich Islands
Region 2020.02.14-09:55 returns Error 404: Not Found :
http://alomax.free.fr/webtools/sgweb.html?http://service.iris.edu/irisws/timeseries/1/query?net=IU&sta=ANMO&loc=00&cha=BHZ&start=2020-02-14T09:25:35.55&dur=3600&output=plot
While the following request for M6.9 Kuril Islands 2020.02.13-10:33
which was not working yesterday and earlier now wor…

Hello IRIS Web Service Support,
Our group with Univ of Utah MesoWest also appears to be seeing the same
issue as described below when utilizing the timeseries service. If a query
is made with a starting timestamp prior to 2020-02-11 00:00:00 it appears
to return properly, for example:
http://service.iris.edu/irisws/timeseries/1/query?net=N4&sta=060A&loc=30&cha=LDO&start=2020-02-10T23:00:00&end=2020-02-12T00:00:00&output=ascii
However if the starting timestamp is later than 2020-02-11 00:00:…

Re: Fwd: irisws timeseries query problem - joshua.williams@esgsolutions.com - 2020-02-14 14:53:35
Dear IRIS Webservice Users-
On Tuesday evening, Feb 11, we became aware that incomplete or no data was being returned in cases where recent data was requested. Our thanks go out to the users that reported the issue to us.
We wanted to let you know that we believe that the issue has now been resolved. As of Thursday Feb 13 at 11am PDT, all web service endpoints are capably returning the data requested.

Hello Web Service users,
This notification is to announce that tomorrow morning (Feb 4) beginning around 9:30am PST, we will be deploying a major update to both the fdsnws-station and ph5ws-station web services. This update will bring all of our station services into compliance with StationXML v 1.1 and will link up with the newly developed StationXML-validator architecture.
