[webservices] open source?

Hi

Is there any interest by the DMC in open sourcing the code to your web services?

In particular, I am thinking about putting a compatible web service on
some of my databases (likely dataselect, maybe stationxml) and it
would be really, really nice if I didn't have to implement them from
scratch. And moreover, if many systems implement the same web service
then it becomes much more useful as clients can then be easily reused.
