Robert Casey - Software Engineer

Rob began work at IRIS DMC in the summer of 1994, his first full-time employment out of college. Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington, Rob initially held the position of Data Control Technician and helped to build Operations into a more streamlined and automated data processing system through many contributed utilities. Two years later he was able to assume the role of Software Engineer which allowed him to devote his energies full-time to developing software for IRIS DMC’s data services and distributed utility programs.

Rob currently develops and maintains numerous tools such as WILBER, Portable Data Collection Centers (PDCC), Networked Data Centers (NetDC), POND, and the IRIS Web search engine. When not fearlessly conquering software bugs at his workstation or switching five-gallon bottles at the water cooler, Rob can be found immersed in his gaming interests (computer, roleplaying, strategy) or enjoying time with his fiancee and her two cats.
