Hello,

I’m trying to run SAC on a Macbook pro running OS X 10.10.4. I successfully unpacked the tar.gz file into my Documents folder and pasted the appropriate lines in my bashrc file; however, SAC isn’t running. When I try to navigate to the SAC program in xterm, it prints the following error:

ERROR 108: Number 108 /Users/smarveson/Soft/sac/aux/messages /Users/smarveson/Soft/sac/aux/csspickpref . readcss will not read picks.
ERROR: Number 901 in INITCOMLISTS.
Problems opening Command List: /Users/smarveson/Soft/sac/aux/clstd

I’m unsure of what the problem is, as there is no “Soft” file that I see anywhere…

Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Sarah Arveson

    Hi Sarah,

Seems that you no have the aux dir in the PATH.

    i have in my ~/.bashrc

    # SAC Environment variables
    export SACHOME=$HOME/Soft/sac
    . ${SACHOME}/bin/sacinit.sh

you only change the path where live sac in the sacinit.sh,
    for example the my sacinit.sh:
    export SACHOME=$HOME/Soft/sac
    export PATH=${PATH}:${SACHOME}/bin
    export SACAUX=${SACHOME}/aux

    Cheers,

    M.
