Why study old rocks? What do the rocks teach us about past earthquakes?
We have released a new animation that looks at a hypothetical vertical
cutaway section of the Earth to show how strata & structures that might
be seen in a real cross section came to be. Includes deposition,
compression, folding, extension, faulting, magma rise, eruption.
