Apologies if folks are already aware of this, but the timeseries web
service appears to have stopped working in the last hour.
The example from the webpage is:
http://service.iris.edu/irisws/timeseries/1/query?net=IU&sta=ANMO&loc=00&cha=BHZ&starttime=2005-01-01T00:00:00&endtime=2005-01-02T00:00:00&output=plot
and it returns:
Error 500: Internal Server Error
The Timeseries webservice was unable to understand your request. error
invoking: null
Cannot run program "/bin/sh": error=11, Resource temporarily unavailable
java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "/bin/sh": error=11, Resource
temporarily unavailable
....
I can provide a few more details if it would help.
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,
Sorry your message on 21 November went out so late (mia culpa).
We had some system wide problems effecting numerous services at the DMC on that day which are now resolved.
Thanks for pinging the list, we appreciate hearing when there are problems noticed by users and sorry your notification didn't get handled very quickly.
Chad
