The Department of Earth and Space Sciences at the University of Washington (UW) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in seismology at the Assistant Professor level. Areas of specialization might include, but are not limited to: earthquake source processes, volcano seismology, and structural seismology.

All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. The new hire will be expected to build a vibrant and externally-funded research program that contributes to science of fundamental significance. The new hire will contribute to the undergraduate core curriculum and also teach graduate courses related to their expertise.This position is a full-time, tenure track position with a 9-month service period.The anticipated start date is September 1, 2020.
