The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of
Michigan - Ann Arbor is seeking for highly motivated B.S. or M.Sc. students
who pursue PhD degrees in geophysics with special emphasis in *seismology*. We
encourage in particular students with a background in geophysics, computer
science, physics or closely related field to apply.



PhD students will work in a collaborative lab shared by Yihe Huang

https://zackspica.github.io/ and will conduct research on a broad
spectrum of topics including global-scale imaging, fiber-optic seismology,
environmental seismology, earthquake source characterization and
lithospheric deformation. Joint advising is possible and encouraged.



Students will receive financial support via departmental fellowships and
research and teaching assistantships.
