The research focus is on earthquake and volcanic processes. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in geophysics or a related field at the time of appointment. Previous experience in at least one of the following areas is preferred: seismic/geodetic data processing/analysis, earthquake detection and location, seismic tomography, numerical modelling, and machine learning application in geophysics. The initial appointment is for one year and can be renewed subject to satisfactory progress. The start date is flexible but preferably by January 2022. The salary will depend on experience but will start at ~HKD$445k per year (~USD$57k) per year.
