Dear colleagues,
We would like to invite you to submit an abstract to the AGU 2021 session,
S008 - Frontiers in Earth’s Coda and Microseism Correlation Wavefield
at the AGU Fall Meeting from 13-17 December 2021.

Session Description:

https://agu.confex.com/agu/fm21/prelim.cgi/Session/122383

The earthquake coda and microseism correlation wavefield has risen as a new concept in global seismology during the last decade. Resting on the principles of global-scale interferometry, it represents an abstract wavefield resulting from the cross-correlation of long-duration seismic recordings. As an independent data source, a wealth of features (e.g., interferences between body-wave signals) extracted from the coda-wave global correlograms and microseisms can be analyzed to constrain the Earth's structure. That significantly increases the illumination of deep Earth, which is not well sampled by other seismic methods, and empowers future planetary missions. This session offers a platform for advancing theoretical developments and applications in correlation wavefield derived from earthquake-coda and microseism data to promote further progress in this field. We welcome contributions on novel approaches to explore similarities between body waves and tackle Earth's structure and dynamics from the crust to the innermost inner core based on the correlation wavefield.
