Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) is an innovative tool being applied to a
wide range of geophysical research areas. The large data volumes and
handling strategies associated with DAS present a key focus for the DAS RCN
Data Management working group. Whether you have used DAS data or not, we
encourage you to fill out this short community survey in advance of the
webinar (please respond by July 26th):

.

This event will be held in Zoom Meeting format and will feature short
presentations on key DAS data topics, an overview of the community survey
results, followed by time for discussion. A recording will be made
available on YouTube after the event.

Schedule:

- Welcome and Introduction of DAS Data Considerations (Jerry Carter)
- DAS Metadata Considerations (Rob Mellors and Kathleen Hodgkinson)
- DAS Derivative Data Products (Verónica Rodríguez Tribaldos)
- Survey Results and Discussion (Jerry Carter)

Use of Distributed Acoustic Sensing is rapidly expanding in our community,
prompting the initiation of an Distributed Acoustic Sensing Research
Coordination Network to facilitate workshops, tutorials, and other
opportunities for sharing ideas and resources. This webinar is one in a
planned series on different topics within Distributed Acoustic Sensing.
