This is a reminder to please sign up to attend the IRIS/UNAVCO Data Services Short Course on Sunday December 11, 2022 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Chicago from 1pm - 5pm CST. Some snacks and beverages will be provided during a brief intermission.
The goal of the Short Course is to discuss and demonstrate tools for data discovery and retrieval that can help facilitate your continued, uninterrupted access to the wide range of geophysical datasets and derivative data products that are available. Topics that will be discussed include recent enhancements made to the Earth Model Collaboration project, Quality Assurance tools for verifying data quality, new tools for seismic metadata creation, novel approaches to data analysis using Jupyter notebooks, and brief demonstrations of leveraging web services to access data. Additionally, we will provide an update on the current status of migrating the full suite of services and products of our combined facilities into a cloud environment.
We highly encourage attendees to bring any questions regarding data discovery, access, and development of novel processing workflows to the Short Course. We are excited by the changes that we are making to our infrastructure and are eager to provide assistance to ease the transition to the new tools and products.
Please use the link below to sign-up in advance and we will follow up to confirm your attendance. The Short Course will be limited to 30 people.
