In August, 2012 we carried out near-surface seismic surveys at Rifle, Colorado. This seismic project was designed to provide hydrogeologic information through sub-surface velocity model building and imaging of the water aquifer. 1) A 3D P-wave seismic survey covers an area that is 96m x 60m. 2) Three-component Galperin mount geophones and three-component sources (vertical, longitudinal and transverse hammer blows) were used for a 2D seismic survey along a 96m line. 3) A 3-D acitve- and passive-surface waves survey cover the 96m x 60m area.
