Shallow seismic investigation, Galena, AK, 2000 (Galena 2000) Data are from six reconnaissance profiles in and near Galena, AK. Receivers are single 8Hz vertical geophones at 10m spacing, 60 channels. Source energy is ANFO type explosive charge. The charge sizes vary for distance to receivers and are noted in the observer’s log. Line and station locations are in the file, “Galena AK location coordinates.xlsx”, included with this dataset. See “Additional Galena.docx” also. Publications incorporating these data: W. J. Stephenson, R. A. Williams, J. K. Odum, C. E. Barker, D. M. Worley, A. C. Clark, and J.G. Clough, 2002, USGS Open File Report 02-450, Reconnaissance Shallow Seismic Investigation of Depth-To-Bedrock and Possible Methane-bearing Coalbeds, Galena, Alaska.
