The Antarctica Ice Rift Experiment will investigate the propagation of a rift system located in the Ross Ice Sheet to study the dynamics of rift formation, deformation mechanics, and ice quake characteristics. The work is to characterize the rift system as an analog for planetary exploration of Enceladus and Europa.
